The Champions League is back after a short break and the knockout rounds of the tournament are set to begin tonight with the high-octane clash between Premier League champions Chelsea and the French powerhouse Paris Saint-Germain.

Both teams are in great form right now and will be looking to extend their current unbeaten run, although according to Bettingpro.com PSG are favourites for this game which understandable given their dominance in Ligue 1 and Chelsea’s myriad problems this season.

Chelsea have not lost a game since the arrival of Guus Hiddink. The Blues have however failed to turn several draws into wins and will be hoping that Diego Costa’s improved form can help them address that.

Both teams did well in the group stages of the Champions League and will be desperate to make it to the quarter-finals of the competition.

PSG finished second in Group A behind Real Madrid and have been in sensational form this season.

The French champions have allowed only 1 goal in a 1-0 loss away to Real Madrid during the group stage. Meanwhile, Chelsea finished first in their group with a pulsating win over Porto on the final match day.

Chelsea thrashed Newcastle 5-1 in the Premier League this week and will be full of confidence going into the game against PSG in the midweek.

The French outfit will be without the services of their reliable right back Serge Aurier who has been suspended by the club following the verbal attack towards his manager and teammates.

Blanc rested most of his key players at the weekend and the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Lucas Moura, Angel Di Maria, Marco Verratti and Thiago Silva are expected to return to the starting lineup for this game.

As for Chelsea, Falcao, Terry and Kurt Zouma are all sidelined through injury. Matt Miazga could be in the squad for the trip to Paris.

Young left Baba Rahman could come in at left-back here, with Branislav Ivanovic starting alongside Gary Cahill in the defence.

Nemanja Matic is suspended and will miss the trip to Paris as well.

Brazilian midfielder Oscar remains a doubt for the game after missing the Newcastle match with a calf problem.
