The 200 pounds a year for the soccer lovers in developing countries is on the high side! Remember this is the people's game and the poor should be put into consideration here as often most best platers in the world come out from this class of people in the world!!!

God they are greedy. They are making a bomb out of football and want more. People in poorer countries wont pay for pay per view. There will always be ways to get around this.
A PL station on the internet wont work. Im not gonna sit in front of my laptop and pay to watch footy. In front of my large screen TV yeah.
£200 pound a year for the many overseas fans is a high amount to pay, which only a few people will pay. Remember its the people game.

Very different case in China. If EPL wants to make it big in China (yes, we are hungry for EPL here), they have to be a lot more creative than just selling rights to pay-tv (WinTV). Because pay-tv just doesn't work in China, at least not yet.

P.S. What's with that squirrel drinking from the Coke bottle? Obviously too subtle for my 'festive season' affected brain!

The PL also have to consider that if they don't sell the rights to the big players in the pay tv world that these stations will look elsewhere and start to broadcast more La Liga and Serie A games etc, possibly eroding some of the demand for the PL product, especially in the emerging geographies.
