Premier League transfer news: Arsenal close to Higuain deal

Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is on the verge of a £23 million transfer to Arsenal. The striker has been linked with the Gunners for several weeks but he’s thought to be close to completing a three-year deal.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Roma star Mialem Pjanic. The Bosnian has been watched by Spurs scouts and will set the club back around the £20 million mark.

West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of former Chelsea and Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka. Manager Steve Clarke says he thinks the player can be a really top signing for the Baggies.

Chelsea midfielder Gael Kakuta is set for a season long loan spell with Vitesse Arnhem. The 22-year-old spent last season with the club and is reportedly going to stay there with no clear way into the Chelsea team.

West Ham United are thought to be closing on a deal for Marseille midfielder Morgan Amalfitano. The 28-year-old has also reportedly been on the radar of West London side Fulham this summer.

New Norwich City signing Nathan Redmond says he couldn’t turn down the chance to work with manager Chris Hughton again. Redmond says Hughton was influential on his career when they first worked together at Birmingham City.

Queens Park Rangers have made a £4 million bid to sign Gary Hooper from Scottish Premier League side Celtic. Hooper has previously been linked with Norwich City but now the Championship outfit are trying a deal before the new season.
