But that's just the point LF! He IS easily your best winger, so what does that say? He has potential but so far has been inconsistent and, mostly, unconvincing and many Liverpool fans are unsure whether he should be played as a winger or in more of a strikers role.
Hyypia has been a good player for Liverpool but he's well past his best and near the end of his career.
Agger looks like the real deal but having missed last season he has a lot to do to show he has the ability of Ferdinand/Vidic or Terry/Carvahlo. Time will tell.

Looking at Liverpools' early games they are really missing Mascherano in my view.

Babel is our best winger easily just inconsistant and last season Sami Hypia was outstanding playing in place of the injured Dani Agger who could also be added to that list!!

SG,
I agree Utd have been very ordinary. So you don't think it's a factor that not just Ronaldo but all the other players I mention being out? Of course it has a significant bearing.
Most of these will be back long before Ronaldo returns and we'll see how it goes.
4-0 against Arsenal last season without him. Utd's squad is full of quality, that's why pundits, journalists, neutrals and the bookies all rate Utd/Chelsea as overwhelming favourites for the title with Liverpool/Arsenal playing the supporting roles (as usual)!

If you try hard enough, you can convince yourself of anything. But if it's a Utd collapse you expect, in the absence of Ronaldo, then you are going to be sorely disappointed.

Finally, did you mention Hyypia and Babel in that list? Dear me, you lot are struggling more than I thought!!

Sorry BD 1 more thing. sorry for the double post but also it wasn't Gerrard who got the PFA 2nd best player last year it was Torres so maybe Liverpool without Torres, Gerrard, Reina, Carra, Mascha, Hyypia & Babel wouldn't be top 12? Is that what you were trying to say :D

sorry bb i'm with the rest of them. United has looked VERY ordinary. So has Liverpool and Arsenal but the latter 2 have produced at least SOME flowing passing moves whereas United's best play in 2 games was Rooney's flick turn and missed shot. Very lucky to get the points against an average portsmouth side. GO VENIT ST PETERSBURG! Because if United lose or need penalties to win again then they will be in the shitter

Liverpool_Fan, Unfortunately you can't actually prove that. We will see how Utd go while Ronaldo is out for the next few weeks.
I could say that Liverpool without Gerrard wouldn't be in the top 12 in Europe, which is probably true, but its all hypothetical really!

United arent anything special without Ronaldo, with Ronaldo best/2nd best team in Europe and without him not even in the top five.

BD Condell - I stated in my reply the same thing. UTD was without HArgreaves, Nani, Anderson, Tevez in first game. Some are back now and we are back to winning ways, but still need more. Fletcher isn't going to score every game. haha
And to all the nay-sayers out there who commented on Fletcher being in the line-up for moral support and give a powerful hug while others score...He must have read those articles and is now laughing in the faces of all those that agreed with that comment :P haha
but top 4 will stay the same. 2 horse race and Arsenal, and Pool 3/4.

Cesc Fabregas has proven, by way of his absence, that he is as valuable a player to a club as any in the world. Arsenal dont have the flow, the precision passing, or sturdiness through the middle that we have grown accustomed to, and it is all because of Cesc's absence, in my opinion.

Tevez and Rooney will patch things together and drag ManU to the win column most weeks regardless, with defense being their calling card anyway (still the best in the Prem). They will be fine, clearly.

Liverpool need to show more, the right wing has been a mess so far with a lack of pace and quality making the team far too central in attack. Thank goodness Gareth Barry stayed at Villa, since he wouldnt help at all with opening the field for us. Use Kuyt as a supersub for Keane, Rafa, not on the right! GO REDS!

Well now that we've reached Tuesday morning it is clearly as we were last season, except for Arsenal!

Chelsea beat Portsmouth at home and Wigan away last season, so no change there.

Liverpool beat Boro at home and Sunderland away last season, so no change there either.

Utd took 4 points from Newcastle(H) and Pompey(A) last season, so no change there either!

Arsenal beat Fulham away last season so they are 3 points down. (West Brom, of course weren't there last year).

We're only 180 minutes into the season for crying out loud!

There was a significant consensus if you read all the pre season predictions that it would be:

Chelsea and Utd tooth and nail for the title again,
Liverpool and Arsenal for 3rd/4th, neither having done enough to bridge the gap.
2 games don't change anything. Above predictions still stand and are the most likely scenario.

As for Harasuke: "Last point, Arsenal look very ordinary without Fabregas, as do Manchester without Ronaldo."

You may have noticed(though obviously not) buddy that Tevez, Nani, Hargreaves, Anderson, Park and Saha were all unavailable last week. Carrick went off early with an injury.
So you were looking at and evaluating Utd without Ronaldo were you? You need to get a little perspective don't you??
