After suffering a 3-0 humiliating defeat at the hands of arch rivals Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester United’s focus now shifts on to the Champions League, where the Red Devils must overcome a 2-0 deficit against Olympiakos to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

This is a do-or-die situation for under fire manager David Moyes. Already out of all domestic competitions, and with a top four finish looking highly unlikely, the Champions League is the last remaining hope for the Scot.

It will need a terrific effort from the home side to advance to the next round, and judging by the performance of the season so far, it is no sure thing.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is unavailable for this tie through injury, while Juan Mata is ineligible to play. Antonio Valencia may feature in place of the Spaniard.

This could be the possible Manchester United starting line-up against Olympiakos:

Prediction: 2-1; Moyes will be expecting a response, but Olympiakos could pose threat on the break. A United win on the night, but the Greek side could sneak through on aggregate.
