Possible Manchester United Starting XI Against Olympiakos

Possible Manchester United Starting XI Against Olympiakos

After suffering a 3-0 humiliating defeat at the hands of arch rivals Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester United’s focus now shifts on to the Champions League, where the Red Devils must overcome a 2-0 deficit against Olympiakos to progress to the quarter finals of the competition.

This is a do-or-die situation for under fire manager David Moyes. Already out of all domestic competitions, and with a top four finish looking highly unlikely, the Champions League is the last remaining hope for the Scot.

It will need a terrific effort from the home side to advance to the next round, and judging by the performance of the season so far, it is no sure thing.

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is unavailable for this tie through injury, while Juan Mata is ineligible to play. Antonio Valencia may feature in place of the Spaniard.

This could be the possible Manchester United starting line-up against Olympiakos:

Prediction: 2-1; Moyes will be expecting a response, but Olympiakos could pose threat on the break. A United win on the night, but the Greek side could sneak through on aggregate.

  1. i thnk nine month was enough time for man u manager at least to improve the united squad and i don even agreed with the fact to leave moyes to build the team ,commonly you cant build the team that defend the title but we need only the improvement from the point we have reached not like wat we see in united now thanks

    • Moyes is a good manager and he is doing better than sir alex in his first season. sir alex was 10 points behind moyes in his first season.After 5 seasons alex won a title

  2. I think moyes should start changing the options : take rooney and rvp out for while let them start training to get their shit together,play wellbeck as main striker,then play kagawa in the hole #10 januzaj and valencia on the wings carrick n fellain in midfield: then see what happens from their-because roo n rvps not doing jack at the moment, and start playing mamta in his preferred role in the premier league!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. If we play just as we played LFC we’ld win Olympiakos…i’m very sure of that!…………*UNITED* it’ll be fine soon

  4. @feranmi! I love the spirit. We played well against LFC and believe if we can put in the same effort we’ll qualifier.

  5. I think we played well against Lfc but things went wrong and if we play with passion and determination we will win the math but an early goal will help, we nid to score at least a goal before 30minutes and it will motivate us to score more and I think valiancial and felliani are both important in this game

  6. Though united play wel against lfc bt moyes shud rest rvp and start rooney nd kagawa shud play 10, januza valencia shud play d wing

  7. I believe united will bounce back only if de manager do not confuse him self by using wrong selection plzzzz watch all de crises of man u take a look of our defence very poor do some vital change to survive de heat

  8. my prediction:4,4,3.start wit degea,evra,jones,smolin,rafred carrick,flecher,mata,valanchia,januzaj,Rooney,RVP

  9. Am sure we will be back, the team is just ok but we just need them to work extra hard and put the things in place!!

  10. Moyes has failed to perform with the squad which Fergie won the title with,what is Kagawa ,Nani doing in the bench?we have good squad that can perform very wel,Van persie has not been good form this season,why dont you start Kagawa behind Rooney or played Mata behind Rooney,valencia and Nani in the wing,Carick and Cleverly in central midfield,am so sad the scortish has fail to perform.

  11. Well,there z stil hope but only if moyes use d ryt sqaud.jones nd fedinand in d centre bk nd raf nd evra in d left nd ryt frank.den carik/felaini in d midfield,adnan nd val in d wing while we manage roni nd vp in d front.moyes has failed nd d scot man dservs no chance except d board wants d situatxn 2 get worst.plz wot happened 2 nani

  12. Best starting eleven for Manchester United:

    David DeGea;

    Rafael, Smalling, Vidic, Evra;

    Fellaini, Carrick;

    Mata, Kagawa, Rooney;

    Robin van Persie

    I think Moyes and United fans are placing too much responsibility and hope in Adnan Januzaj. He’s a good player but at his age some of his decisions are still erroneous i.e. he tries to go it alone when it would be simpler to put in a through ball or release Evra on the left. We need maturity and experience out there if anything is going to be salvaged today. But not to say that maturity cancels out bravery and boisterous ambition which should emanate blindingly from Moyes and the players tonight. Moyes should believe in himself and United and stop this self-deprecating humility that’s just FAKE! Get your confidence UP MAN! Stop quivering and man up to the task. Get stuck in and scream at players, referees until you get your way! BELIEVE!! That’s the Manchester United way! Enough said.

  14. we will surely make it by D grace of GOD as we did against Bercerlona in 1984.United we stand. United 4 Life.
