Manchester United will take on Cardiff City on Tuesday night at the Old Trafford, where record signing Juan Mata could make his debut for the home side.

The Red Devils have had a poor start to the season and are languishing in 7th place in the league, 6 points off the 4th position, but with Juan Mata in the side, United will push hard with renewed optimism for the Champions League places.

Further, United will be terribly boosted by the return of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Fellaini, with Moyes claiming all three are expected to play some part on Tuesday night.

In the defence, Vidic is still suspended and Rio Ferdinand still to recover fully, which means Moyes will have to go with Jones/Smalling and Evans at the back.

In the midfield, Michael Carrick is doubtful; therefore expect Tom Cleverley to partner Darren Fletcher.

Danny Welbeck will start as a lone striker (Van Persie can come on as sub later on) with Januzaj, Rooney and Mata supporting him from behind.

Prediction: 2-1; United cannot afford to drop any more points from here on. With Mata in the side, expect a strong reaction from the Champions.
