Manchester City will welcome Everton at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday looking to bounce back from their humiliating defeat against Bayern Munich in the mid-week.

Everton remain the only side in the Premier League that are yet to be defeated in the league so far, but Manuel Pellegrini will take solace from the fact that his side has got maximum points thus far from all their home games so far.

Ahead of this match, Pellegrini will have to make few strong decisions over team-selections and one of them is whether to include Joe Hart in the team or not. The England no 1 has been severely censured in the media and by the fans for his shambolic goal-keeping this season. He has been making blunders in almost each and every match but retains his place as there is no one better than him to challenge his position. And his position has come under threat after producing yet another lackluster performance against Bayern in the Champions League.

That’s why it will be interesting to see whether Pellegrini has the guts to drop Hart and give Costel Pantilimon a chance to show his mettle.

Micah Richards played in the last match against Bayern, but expect Zabaleta to start for this tie on the right flank. Skipper Vincent Kompany will partner Matija Nastasic at the centre of defence while Gael Clichy will deputize on his customary left-back position.

David Silva returns to the squad and he will be given a starting line-up berth against Everton. In that case Pellegrini will probably drop a striker to the bench and play Sergio Aguero up front as a lone striker. The line-up could be like this:
