Liverpool face Norwich City at Anfield on Wednesday evening, with the Reds desperate to return to form after the dismal defeat to Hull on the weekend.

Brendan Rodgers is eager for his side to put the defeat behind them, and come out flying against Norwich. The omens are promising, with Liverpool having scored 13 goals against the Canaries in the last three games against them, with Luis Suarez very much amongst the goals.

Possible Liverpool Starting Lineup:

Defence: Mamadou Sakho will be pushing for a starting berth, as Liverpool shipped three against lowly Hull. Kolo Toure is out with a hip problem; while Jon Flanagan should retain the left back role in the absence of Jose Enrique.

Midfield: With Daniel Sturridge out for six-eight weeks with an ankle injury, Rodgers should tweak his formation to a 4-3-3. This could mean a recall for Joe Allen to play alongside Steven Gerrard and Lucas. More likely Jordan Henderson will relinquish the right wing, so as to return to his more familiar central midfield spot.

Forward: Luis Suarez will lead the line solo in the absence of his partner, Sturridge. Norwich have rarely been able to contain the Uruguayan in recent times; with the striker bagging 7 goals against them in the last three match-ups (including two hat-tricks).

Philippe Coutinho is fit enough to start, while Rodgers may throw a wild-card into the mix; with the fit again Iago Aspas one who is desperate to kick-start his Liverpool career.

Prediction: 4-0 – A comfortable return to relevance for Liverpool; Suarez and Coutinho among the goals, and a solid display with the 4-3-3 formation compared to the hectic Merseyside Derby a few weeks ago.
