Premier League is back, after a brief hiatus of international football. The Round 12 of this edition of Premier League promises to be yet another cracker. Top of the table, Arsenal will take on surprise package of the season, Southampton, who are deservedly occupying the third spot, at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Ahead of the match, Arsene Wenger has been handed double injury boost. Winger Theo Walcott has recovered from abdominal injury and could make his first Arsenal appearance for more than two months on Saturday. Although he has not played a single reserve team game, but Wenger clearly stated that he would draft him straight into the squad.

Likewise, Arsenal’s arguably the best player of the season so-far, Aaron Ramsey has returned to full fitness. The Wales midfielder missed Wales’ friendly with Finland on Saturday due to a tight hamstring and there were doubts whether he could participate against the Saints.

Defence: Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen started against Manchester United at the Old Trafford, in absence of Per Mertesacker. The German star, who scored against England in the mid-week friendly at Wembley, is fit again, and would start alongside Laurent Koscielny. Gibbs and Sagna should play as left and right back positions respectively.

Midfield: Wenger stated that Jack Wilshere is fit and fine and so expect him to start alongside Mikel Arteta. French midfielder Mathieu Flamini is suspended for his tie. Theo Walcott is fit again but will Wenger give him the start? He could be better used from the bench, allowing Ramsey to start.

Forward: There is little option for Wenger in this department. Wenger will have to rely on Olivier Giroud to score goal, while Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla to support him from midfield.

Prediction: 1-1, Southampton have won at Anfield, drew at Old Trafford, so expect them to put up a strong performance against the Gunners at the Emirates as well.
