Possible Arsenal Starting Lineup against Hull City

Arsenal will face Hull City at the KC Stadium on Sunday, looking to consolidate their fourth position in the Premier League table.

Lukas Podolski

The Gunners moved back into the top four after they earned a convincing 3-1 victory over West Ham in the mid-week, and Everton, the other fourth place contender, suffered a shock 3-2 defeat against Crystal Palace.

Team News: Arsene Wenger revealed in his press conference that left back Kieran Gibbs will miss this tie, with injury, while Spaniard Nacho Monreal is also doubtful. Thomas Vermaelen will start at left-back, should both of them miss out.

Midfielder Mathieu Flamini is set to return from suspension, while German international Mesut Ozil could be involved as well, after recovering from hamstring injury.

This could be the possible starting line-up for the Gunners:

Prediction: 1-2; Hull City have found it difficult to replicate their cup form in the league, while Arsenal cannot afford to drop points from here on out.

  1. Arsenal shouldn’t take a chance of loosing yet another trophy after loosing to Birmigham city some years ago.I,as an Arsenal fan I predict the match as 3~1 in favour of Arsenal.

  2. I haven’t seen anyone raising this thought. mr Wenger should seriously consider starting Fabienski in two of the remaining league games so that he can sharpen up his skills for the FA Final. It is obvious that he deserves toplay the final so why not give him the chance to work with the defense.

  3. I love this lineup. Would someone pleeeese tell Mr eWenger to allow Fabienski a couple league games so that he can work with our defense prior to the FA Final so that he can sharpen up his skills before the final? This game would be a perfect opportunity for him to get some time in goal. It’s obvious he has to play the final.

  4. Giroud should start on the bench and Podolski upfront playing in front of Chamberlain, Carzola and Rocisky. That is the amount of pace we need upfront.

  5. Fabianski should be allowed to man the pole for the remainder of the season because he has proved the manager wrong of sitting him on the bench.

  6. Arsene wenger should buy more players as backup for the injuries always suffered.EPL this season was to be for Arsenal but capsized due to lack of replacements for the injured. This is a lesson and also fabiansky must man the pole at FA finals. No one else he deserves it don’t treat him like he was just used at semi finals. We need u to buy goal hungry striker note if you don’t score goals pressure’s mounted on you…thanks

  7. The 4-5-1 system can not work especially in Epl. So Mr Wenger shuld at least use two strickers to attack the oponents defence.
then goals will always come.( Podolsk and Giroud can do better.

  8. Wenger always is nonsense becouse he don’t want to buy good striker and definsive milfider giroud is not a good striker, i wish arsena good result on fa cup final next mount

  9. mr wenger should use 4-4-2 formation against hull city? and more also giroud should start from bench
