Pissing it all away, the West Ham way
Pissing it all away
Don’t you know it’s the West Ham way…
West Ham in crisis? Geez, it took you that long? Gambling between players, egos and cliques from last year meant that Alan Pardew had no control over the squad - the cancer that Magnusson talked about was definitely there.
But Magnusson chose to kick out the wrong person - he took the easy option out instead of backing Pardew against the squad and helping him fix things by offloading non-performing players. Curbs got a win in the first game, but since then, NOTHING.
Yesterday against Tottenham West Ham had a glorious chance to win and give the side some momentum. Under Pardew, there is no way this team would have given up their 2-0 lead. Pardew is a fighter by nature, he would have had the West Ham squad dig in and fight for their lives. Curbs apparently told them to play as they were playing, urging caution.
Caution doesn’t work with this West Ham squad and if Curbishley is ’surprised’ by WH’s naivety, he shouldn’t be their manager.
Anton Ferdinand
Before today I had trouble understanding why people hated Rio Ferdinand so much. Now, looking at his brother, I can understand why. Anton is everything that Rio is, but worse. He’s still 21 and quite often people forget that, but his defending has been awful this season for West Ham and like the rest of the squad, he doesn’t seem to have his heart in it.
Anton will leave West Ham next season along with Tevez, the only question is where he will go.
West Ham’s future
Step 1: Humiliation till the end of the season / (.1% chance of a great escape - if they win 9 games in a row).
Step 2: Relegation
Step 3: Players’ Sale
Step 4: ???
Where will West Ham be - mentally - next season? Will they bounce back with the problems they have right now? West Ham have the better players but Charlton have the better manager, so it will be interesting to see which of them manage to get back the earliest.

Well Curbs has been there and done it all before, so if you want a man to get you back into the premiership, its curbs. They will have a massive sale, keep some of the younger guys and maybe a few regulars, ie etherington, koncheskey etc. They have money too from magnusson, so buying wont be a problem. Curbs will bring in the players he wants and can use. I think if they do what west brom did this season (buy premiership quality players to get back up) then they might just do it, might.
Carlos Tevez is a quality player, Man Utd would prolly have him only we are not going to pay 20million aquid!!! he was terific for you guys but most of the time you slated him! he was your best player and it will be sad to lose him, as for your comment regarding Rio??? what was that about you knob! how is Anton everything that Rio is??? Rio is going to win the title you idiot! Antons fighting to stay in the league, why should he care for you anyway when you try to blame him, soley and not the fact that getting rid of your old manager was a disgraceful choice! see you in two years loser, you have alot to learn about the royal we and team spirit let alone football as a whole! ijit
still incensed by that Rio remark, he’s been a rock for Man U this season, you should be disgusted with yourself! your not Man U!!!
Ahmed, if Anton is everything that Rio is then you actually say Rio does not have his heart in what he does. It might have been true two seasons before but not now. He can lose his motivation when we do not have a real chance of trophies, that’s the only problem with him.
But Rio is outstanding when it matters most. He’s fired up by big games and desperate to win trophies. Maybe Anton would be the same at a big team but currently he has attitude problems whereas Rio hasn’t.
LoL at Ahmed’s options for what would end up happening to West Ham next year. Bet you didn’t think Option 4 was “staying up and spending several million”
yossi benayoun was a legend
is the least that could be sed. his exalent presition in the way he played football was emaculate u could have not picked out a more talanted player on the globe.
“tevez ” this “tevez” tht “tevez kept westham in the premer league.shit.
yossi benayoun wat the 1 in there making the goal saveing takels yossi benayoun was the 1 in theremaking the presition pass witch led to a goal, ofline clearences, goals, immens peases of skill and not onec was he noticed. well u no what? if i was beanyoun id leave 2.
well played westham u just lost the greatest player of all time.
yeah yossi’s good but not THAT good, christ.
the greatest player of all time??
don’t get me wrong, i love yossi, and am seriously gutted he’s leaving. but tevez had a much larger part in our survival. admit it mate, without him, we’d be down and out, no question.
i’m a west ham fan through and through, and as a result i’m gonna say UP YOURS to whoever wrote this article, and completely agree with fifth column.
