Manchester United had to wait too long, right till the end of the transfer window, to get their first major signing of the season, Marouane Fellaini from Everton.

The towering Belgian international was one of the key players for David Moyes, during his time at Everton, and the Scot chose to bring Fellaini with him to his new club, as he looks to strengthen his midfield options for this season.

The 25-year-old joined the Red Devils for a reported fee of £27.5 million and revealed that it was a dream move for him.

He said “Being a Manchester United player is something that every player dreams of. I am thrilled to sign for United. I believe that I can make a real contribution to the team’s efforts to win trophies”

Manager David Moyes was also equally ecstatic after signing the player, with whom he has previously worked for five years.  He said: “He is a player with great ability and strength and I think he will make a real difference to our squad.”

Fellaini has made 163 starts for Everton and scored 32 goals since joining the Toffees in 2008, and has 42 international caps under his belt, since making his international debut in 2007.
