Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley was snapped up earlier today at Aston Villa’s Bodymoor Heath Training Ground following his last-minute loan move from Old Trafford.

Cleverley’s transfer was in question right till the very end, and it was only after the Premier League granted permission today that the move went through.

Tom Cleverley

The 25 year-old midfielder is clearly not part of new United manager Louis Van Gaal’s plans, despite have featured in the starting line-up for the Red Devils two weeks back against Sunderland. The arrival of Daley Blind from Ajax on deadline day pushed him further down the pecking order.

Villa manager Paul Lambert will be hoping the Englishman can provide some much-needed cover in central midfield for his side, while Cleverley will be hoping to get an opportunity to prove himself worthy enough to return to Old Trafford next season.

    • Totally agree mate. The trio could also be joined by Anderson, who has found his match. LvG has loaned him out to Mcdonalds.

      • Totally agree with mc brain and I my

Pls include Johnny Evan, fletcher, Chris smalling as well. Perhaps, Rooney, rvp and mata should be given another six months to prove that they are worthy of wearing that badge. Sense some sloppy performance lately. Unfortunately, football is about business now. If can’t deliver then the next logical move is to get them out.

  1. Van Gal knows very well that mata is not the quality type of midfield player united needed that why he wanted to use that opportunity to sell him at first place when he arrived at Old Trafford and most players needed to be sold by winter summer, Fellani, Anderson, Mata, Clevely, Young, bring in StroonthMan, Vidal, Rues, Hummels period

    • Of course Mata is a quality midfielder. Juan Mata is certainly not the reason why United are in this mess.
