Photo: Jack Wilshere In Hot Water Over Finger Gesture
Young Jack has a way of staying in the public eye, and not always for the best of reasons. It hasn’t been that long since the whole ‘smoking incident’ died down, and now Wilshere may find himself under scrutiny once more for his finger gesture in Saturday’s incredible 6-3 defeat to Man City.
There is precedent here, as many will point out; with Liverpool’s Luis Suarez receiving a one-match ban for his use of this gesture in 2011.
Wilshere had become increasingly frustrated during Saturday’s defeat, but his actions here will surely not go unpunished, causing the Arsene Wenger yet more grief on top of the costly loss to City.
When ArseneWenger was asked to comment on Wilshere’s gesture, the Frenchman said: “If he did it and is banned, we will have to accept it.”
What do you think? Will Wilshere get in trouble for this? Should he? Let me know in the comments below…
