Daley Blind has completed his move from Ajax to Manchester United on Monday.

Louis van Gaal’s side had earlier agreed a deal with the Dutch champions for the transfer of the versatile player to Old Trafford. The 24-year-old completed his medical and has now signed a four-year deal at United, with an option to extend it by one more year.

The deal saw the Red Devils pay a fee of £14m to Ajax. A statement on United’s official website confirmed, ” Manchester United is delighted to announce that Daley Blind has completed his transfer for a fee of £14million. Daley joins on a four-year contract with the option to extend for a further year.”

The Dutch international says it is a honour to join the Premier League giants as he becomes the club’s latest signing.

“It is a real honour to sign for Manchester United. I have been at Ajax since I was seven years old and I will always have very fond memories of the club and of my time there,” Blind said.

“Louis van Gaal is a tremendously talented coach, I have worked with him at Ajax and also for the Netherlands national team and I cannot wait to work with him at the biggest club in the world.”
