Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has been dropped from the Brazil squad based on his lack of experience.

The exclusion of Coutinho will come as a shock to Liverpool and premier league fans who are aware of the rich vein of form Coutinho is in.

The Brazilian scored a stunning winner against Stoke on the opening day of the Premier league and has been the best player at Liverpool since January 2015.

Coutinho’s Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino has been called up to the squad.

Brazil coach, Dunga claimed that the side is in need of experience and therefore the inclusion of Kaka is justified.

“We need experience, not just youngsters”, he said.

Former stars Kaka and Hulk are back in the side, but the likes of Thiago Silva have been excluded.

Coutinho was a part of the Brazil squad for Copa America and impressed in the friendlies.

Although Coutinho will be a tad disappointed with his exclusion, Liverpool fans will be happy about the fact that the player will be fresh and ready for the club during the international break.

Liverpool face Bournemouth on Monday and Coutinho will be hoping to replicate his Stoke heroics and prove to Dunga, why he deserved a national call up.
