Lampard, whose Chelsea career spanned an impressive, trophy-laden 13 years, is now said to be considering offers from the MLS, and thanked everyone connected to the club this afternoon in a heartfelt statement.

His long-standing teammate and friend Petr Cech has replied in kind, posting a message of thanks on Twitter, coupled with a photo of the pair celebrating one of many Chelsea victories:

The pair’s first ever season together back in 2004/05 saw the Blues win their first Premier League since 1955, and since then they have experienced stunning success in Blue, collecting a further two league titles, a European Cup and a Europa League title to name a few.

Lampard will be sorely missed by his teammates, with fans all over the world now lamenting his departure. What does the future hold for the England man, and who will Chelsea replace him with?

What do you think? Non-Chelsea fans, will it be weird seeing the Blues start next season without the long-serving midfield man?

  1. for thirteen year been together as family he finally made up his mind,we will miss him as hero for one and half decade. you get we all support super Frank.

  2. I don’t know what to say Lampard. But why Chelsea not give him 1 yr contract again? I personally we like to see him nex season in Chelsea. You are truly a legend.

  3. Not Chelsea fan ,but i salute Frank ! A true stalwart and professional for CFC !Indeed ,will look weird at the start of the next season not to see Frank in the team . And Peter Cech ! JM wants to sell him in order to accomodate Curtoise.

  4. Jst shadin tears for seeing d true legend leave his,it’s rili bad to see him puttin on another club’s shirt bt all d best is all dt i got to say.

  5. Another heavy mistake on the side of chelsea. I said this shortly after the departure of Drogba that we may find it difficult to replace the African King. Same thing goes with Lampard. We will all miss the best Chelsea player.
