Recently, figures came in from North America, showing that Robin van Persie’s number 20 Manchester United jersey is the most popular Premier League replica jersey in North America this season.
The research was conducted by Sporting iD and they’ve compiled a list of the top ten best-selling shirts in the region.
According to the global sales and marketing director of Sporting iD, Robert Thayne said:
“North American soccer fans continue to support the Barclays Premier League as fanatically as anywhere else, often waking at 4am to catch games on TV.”

This list is based on name and number sales for the 2012/13 season to date.
World’s best selling club jerseys
With Persie, Rooney, Chicharito and Kagawa in the top ten above, Man Utd leads the average global shirt sales per year along with Real Madrid.
England has the most popular of clubs according to kit sales with four teams appearing in the top ten. Juventus, Inter Milan and AC Milan are the three club from Italy.

Top kit supplier deals
Finally, a look at the top kit supplier deals in Europe shows who is making the most money out of kit deals. The Spaniards Madrid and Barcelona lead the table with Man Utd, Liverpool and Chelsea closely following them.
Manchester City gets a lot of funding from the Sheikh but not so much from Nike as they are in on number nine on the list.
Nike and adidas have long-term deals with all but one club on this list and they are chucking out totals of €110.58 million and €97.7 million respectively.
