I have and always will be a great fan of The Guv", its good however to read the full story and must say it was well reaserched, conglats!
For those who think he has a chip on his shoulder, well too bad, thats called committment. So what will you say of Roy Keane? they, Ince and Keane, are cut from the same clothe if u ask me!.
Go get them Guv!
Great article though.

Great article!!!

Without question, Ince is a legend and one of the most decorated players in english football history. Those who go with the "chip on shoulder" opinion are the typical people who dont mind losing. HInce has always been a winner throught his playing career and has taken the same drive and desire into his management career. If our current internationals had the same attitude i'm sure we'd be better off!

Brilliant!!!

An outstanding article. Well researched and very good use of the info found.

Paul Ince, along with the likes of John Barnes, Les Ferdinand, Michael Thomas, Mark Bright and the effervescent Ian Wright are living legends and this article helps to cement that in Paul's case!

I would enjoy reading similar articles about the afore mentioned players if not in book form but on here would be just as good.

Well done and I look forward to reading more from Hugo Steckelmacher.

Brilliant!!!

agree with Oliver on staying out of the media spotlight, and agree a bit with BD on the chip on the shoulder, even if that's just a perception we've built over the years through media exposure.

He's right though - where are the black managers in football?

Really interesting reading.

Ince is doing it the smart way. He's making his mistakes out of the glare of the Premier League.

Good bio Hugo. I've got to say, even as a Man Utd fan, I never liked Ince. OK, I jnow he had a rough start but he's always had a nasty side to him and an arrogance.
Already he has been willing to suggest that both young English and /or black managers don't get offered jobs.
Ready made excuses for failure.

He may yet prove himself at a higher level in management but I suspect that the chip he carries on his shoulder will get in the way at the top level.

Awesome awesome research Hugo. You really poured all your heart into this, and it shows. Lots of interesting info on Paul Ince, which I didn't had such a rocky career in the past. This article puts Wikipedia to shame.

And once again, great pics. :P
