Arsenal legend Thierry Henry recently criticised striker Olivier Giroud saying the French striker is not good enough to lead the attacking line for the Gunners. Arsene Wenger however has other views and he responded to such criticisms saying Henry is paid to say controversial things.

Giroud has scored 17 goals this season for the Gunners despite missing few months early on through injury. However, it seems, Wenger still wants to sign a quality forward to add sufficient depth in the squad.

Arsenal have been frequently linked with a move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, who has scored 31 goals for the French club this season. If the reports are to be believed, Premier League rivals Liverpool are seemingly interested in signing the 23-year-old striker.

According to Matt Spiro, a highly reputed journalist working for BeinSport, Wenger has set sights on two Ligue 1 players this summer – Monaco’s centre-back Aymen Abdennour and Lyon forward Nabil Fekir.

Fekir is a highly talented youngster and liked by Wenger. The 21-year-old has scored 12 league goals this season and has great potentials to be a world class player in future. Arsenal are well stocked with technically gifted attacking players, but Wenger could be tempted to sign Fekir, should Theo Walcott leave the club in the summer.
