I believe he's saying the response was good, following such a comprehensive defeat midweek, they didn't start to collapse and lose confidence. They seperated League from European Cup and continued their stunning league form, without Gerrard, to send a message out that they haven't fallen apart all of a sudden. Thats what I got anyway, considering he didn't actually say anything at all to the effect of Liverpool ripping through Chelsea at Stamford Bridge to continue in the European Cup. As Russell mentioned elsewhere, having Mascherano available made a big difference from midweek. Regardless of what happens this season, Rafa needs to sort out Lucas and figure out what to do with Babel...
