Nike: Most Wanted - SAF to train the future stars of football
Nike: Most Wanted is a collaborative project between the Premier League and Nike in the close season - it aims to find 22 of the country’s most talented undiscovered players with the hunger, drive and determination to take their game to the next level.
There will be trials across the UK & Ireland - technical, mental and physical - designed to find the best young British talent. The winners will get to take part in the ultimate training weekend with the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.
The competition runs across the whole of July and who knows, it might unearth the next Wayne Rooney - and given England’s recent poor performances they need some better young talent coming through!
We’ll be receiving exclusive material throughout the course of the trials, including behind-the-scenes footage and coaching advice from Sir Alex & selected Nike athletes - something interesting to talk about while waiting for the new season to kick off.
You can follow it at Nike Football and sign up for the trials directly here.

What a load of Cr*p, blatant advertising gimmick for Nike who are desperate to muscle in on football. The Premier league has sold the soul of English football, have they no shame?
is this for goalkeepers too ?
ricky - not really…
sara - it’s open for everyone, including keepers.
Hi,

added the sign up info at the end of the article.

I had a confirmation email telling me that I had been accepted for a trial on 26th July 2008 at Liverpool and details would be sent to me. No details have ever been sent and despite several attempts to contact Nike, no one has replyed to me at all. I could not attend the trail as I had no idea where it was being held. My father even came up from London to take me. I am very disappointed at such shabby treatment and will be writing direct to Nike about what has happened
hi does anyone know if there is a chance of getting picked up if you get through to the weekend traning camp? or is it just training? because it sounds big but im not sure?
