i think the squad is capable of repeating what they performed in Holland way back in 2005 but the only problem I see is the midfield, it remains to be seen how creative the middle of the pack is. other aspects especially the defence is very tight. I would have thought the under seventeen guys (RABIU or even AKINSOLA) would have made the squad. I hope we dont just do well and return empty handed. SIASIA BEWARNED.

I’m absolutely happy to see ur under 23 olympic team participating amongst other countries in Beijing. I’ve not been following any of ur teams for quite some time, but if Sia Sia would repeat what he did when he was in charge of ur under 20 team, then we should be expecting a better result in Beijing. It does not really take big names to win a tournament, what it takes is team work and commitment.

To the hague. if you have proof that that any players are over 23, present it, otherwise, you need to shut it. Anyway, I think this team can hold its own against any opponent. Something that a lot of people seem to have failed to oberve is that this Nigerian team is almost the same one that got to the finals of the u-20 world cup in holland in 2005. They beat Holland (albeit on penalties) en-route to the finals. I have not seen the holland squad yet, but I guess that they will be mostly those same players.

I cherish Samson Siasia for putting to live discipline into the Nigerian Football. This is the quality lacking in most of the Nigerian coaches. This is also a man who selects his players without any sentiment.

I belive SiaSia Knows precisely what he is doing, the squad is Okay. he has also brought discipline to the team as sen in the manner he dealth with the Mikel’s issue. Nigerian teams have always lacked discipline, this team will excell.God bless the eagles of Nigeria
