Eugene - good article.

Sam didn't play negatively - Newcastle players massively under-performed as they struggled to adapt to a new system of playing.

And consistent good performances are realisable through ... wait for it ... consistency.

"We can take defeats but not the manner of defeats that Sam subjected us to." - truer words were never spoken.

We lost to Blackburn 3-1 earlier in the season, and the fans gave the team an ovation at the end cause we played well.

We lost to Chelsea 2-1 a few weeks back, the fans praised the played because they played well and SHOULD have had a result if it wasnt for the linesman.

Ther have been a number of times we have played well and lost and the fans realise that. Hell, we once lost 4-1 at home to Fulham, we absoloutly hammered them all game, how they scored 4 i dont know, but it was a good performance from the team.

All we ask is a good performance consistently. We were getting bad performances week in week out thats why fans were getting at Allardyce.

Looks like Ashley will be getting his man and hes putting a lot of money into it so hopefully ke knows whats hes doing.

"If he goes to Newcastle, he'll be lucky if the St. James' ‘faithful' aren't looking for his head after the first bad home performance."

You haven't got a clue!

Why do you think Kevin Keegan and Bobby Robson were popular?
Because they played positive football.

Sam Allardyce played negatively.
