The Sun is widely known to weave stories which have no real credibility.

Mike Ashley does not seem more of business person like a Shinawatra or a Roman. Given that he sits amidst supporters during games and has brought back Keegan, he would not mind to bide his time to break even and then go in the green.

I hope you right Ahmed. As a Newcastle supporter I really want to see Ashley here for the next 5 years at least. I hope he has more ambition than to make a quick profit.
He's been a breath of fresh air since he took over the club and it would be great to see the club winning things under him.

Just a quick note to say that NO ONE believes a damn word that the Sun prints. You even have to check the date to make sure it's correct and they're not lying about that, neither!

One word though, NUFC are virtually debt free now, Ashley cleared it all off just about when he took the club over. The high wage bill will have been significantly slashed come the time of the new season. Mark my words.

Whether he is here for the long or short term only MA will know. Till then, let's just go with it.

Regards

A fair comment and no doubt near the mark. Like it or not football's more about money than sport and has been since the inception of the EPL and not likely to change
