Keegan (or anyone else) can't do anything without the funding. One thing that would surely help clarify the future would be if owner (and billionaire) Mike Ashley, self professed Newcastle fanatic who likes to get among the crowd at St.James, would actually make it clear what percentage of his millions he expects to make available to bring the club forward.

I think they'll have too much to go down but player wise they are struggling. Owen is a shadow of his former self and potentially won't get any better following extensive injuries.

Smith has never really come back from his serious injury at Old Trafford and Joey Barton.....well...enough said!

They seem to have a collection of misfits and a very dodgy defence. Not good, but should be good enough to stay up.
After that its down to Ashley to flash the cash......and he'll need plenty of it.

I hope they do go down and Keegan is just not a modern day premiership football manager. Its a cliche to say but he does wear his heart on his sleeve and if he was my boss i would avoid him like the plague and would not be convinced by his team talks or tatics. Obviously this is all based on my dislike of the man but you cant disagree he is so bloody emo rock is ridic!

Frankly, the situation at Newcastle is embarrassing and made worse by Keegan's signing.

I still think that Bolton will finish below Newcastle, but if either Fulham or Reading or Bolton turn things around, Keegan is going down.
