Really cool, Joe. The first match is always amazing;) I wrote to you from Poland, and I'm Arsenal fan for 6 years(I'm 18). Is a magic football club, the best of the best. When I watch their games, rest of the world just disappear:D

Great story, Joe. Being from the states myself I can really identify with what you wrote. I'm still waiting for my first trip to SJP. Might be a while with the current exchange rate though. Too bad you missed out on Highbury, but getting to Emirates in the inaugural season is pretty cool too.

Nope, never forget the first one. It fascinates me how you can remember so well, to every detail how you fell in love with your team, however. But I suppose you were much older than I was when I picked my favorite.

Nice piece Joe,your story reminded me of another Americans late introduction to the beautiful game, a book called 'The Miracle Of Castel di Sangro' by Joe McGinnis and how he spent a year in Italy with a small Serie C1 team, I would suggest you read, you might find some interesting paralells, I would reccomend it to anyone, by far the best football book I've ever read. I fell in love with Arsenal during a drab 0-0 draw versus Notts Forest in the 70's so I can relate to your story. Keep up the support.
