I'm watching a live game right now on ESPN, Columbus Crew against DC United - not a bad standard of play, but really is bastardized by the arrival of Becks.

They don't play too badly, the standard is good and it looks like it's going in a fairly good direction - Seriously, no biased here, but our aussie Hyundai A-League has a better standard, I think if the FFA were to put the salary cap up that bit higher we could hang onto nice exports (like Melbourne Victory's Fred, from Brazil (no not the one who plays for Lyon and scored against the Socceroos at the WC) has been snapped up by DC Utd), if we had a player like Zizou come out of retirement adnd play in the A-league (there's been massive talk about this) and with the international exposure the A-League could be bigger than the MLS - because of the standard of footy.
