I'm embarrassed to be an American today. We have the players to do it, but we've clearly regressed since Bob took over. Heads need to roll.

Putamadrew
i guess stats dont lie.. seeing as how USA got more yellow cards this game than Mexico, and here is another useful fact.... USA HAS NEVER BEATEN MEXICO AT HOME..... Lets face the only reason that Mexico has gotten off to a bad start is because of the inconsistency of the Managers...

USA NEVER TO BEAT MEXICO.... Well atleast at home... it took us 10 years to beat you in USA... but atleast we did...

I'm looking for a repeat of United States 2-0 Mexico (2002 FIFA World Cup Second Round). The Mexicans' temper and lack of discipline should provide for a host of yellow cards/fouls, and I'm going to guess ONE red card for Mexico. dirty players, they have one of the highest fouls per game stats of ANY TEAM in world cup qualifying, and it goes up 47% when they play against the USA. stats don't lie.

I lived many years in Mexico, so I have heard the argument about who has the right to use "America" many times. This attitute reflects either a lack of knowledge about the rest of the world or a lack of respect for the freedom of other countries to call themselves how they deem fit. In the U.S. (and almost all countries outside of Latin America) America is not a continent, but rather a country (the U.S.) We use the term The Americas (plural) to refer to the continent (or continents, depending on criteria of what a continent is). Just because Mexicans and other Latinamericanos use the term "América" to refer to the continent, doesn't mean the rest of the world has to. So please stop scolding people for calling themselves how they please. Can you imagine scolding people from Greenland for calling themselves Greenlanders when the country is almost entirely white (well, before global warming at least). How would you like it if someone told you that you have no right to call yourselves Mexicans, because this word refers to the Mexicas, the historical indigenous group related to the descendent Nahua ethnic group that has ironically suffered greatly at the hands of "Mexicans"? Please don't feel bad, I know this lack of knowldege and/or empathy towards other isn't intentional. Just inform yourself.

We Mexicans are also Americans, because we live in the same continent called America. Also when you mention mexican players from overseas you should say the same, that mexicans come from the top European leagues. For example Giovanni and Rafa Marquez has been playing for Barcelona (1st team in Europe).
