Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has agreed to a deal in principle with Arsenal regarding a contract extension.

Both Ozil and Sanchez are close to signing extensions at Arsenal and now the Mirror are reporting that the Gunners already have an agreement for Ozil.

The German attacking midfielder has been in sensational form this season and helped his side challenge for the title before their midseason slump. At one point, Arsenal seemed favourites for the Premier League title this season.

The World Cup winner signed for Arsenal back in 2013 for a fee of 42 million pounds and has been a major hit with the fans.

Arsenal fans will no doubt be happy with the news that the German superstar is ready to commit his long-term future to the London club.

Mesut Ozil has bagged 6 goals and 18 assists for Arsenal this season.

Chilean attacker Alexis Sanchez is also close to agreeing on a new deal with Arsenal. The former Barcelona star is currently in talks with Arsenal over an improved contract.
