And lastly for those who were spitting at the notion that “Arsenal play beautiful……….”, this is why people say that over and over again. It was brilliant stuff and the massive coverage in the media shows that people appreciate it. Now if only the senior team gathers inspiration from their juniors’ performance………………..

Its still early days and its the Carling Cup, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the game. Having said that I felt Wigan certainly underperformed. Whatever game you play, you still put severe pressure on the inexperienced, regardless of however much talent they may possess as they will eventually crack. And Wigan failed to do that and the youngsters took over. It was good fun to watch them play with such confidence (sometimes too much confidence) and desire. You could see that the mistakes they made were only because they overdid certain basic stuff. And finally an Arsenal defence that looked comfortable during high balls and set pieces………………..and the goals were all brilliant………
