I think it's funny that people actually thought USA could win this match. I mean, i'm as patriotic as the next guy but seroiusly, look at who we are playing against. Some of the best players in the world in John Terry, Frank Lampard, and Steven Gerrard just to name a few. these players have all played on top teams in the EPL for a number of years and have won numerous championships. now take a look at the american players... even our best player (landon) can't even come close to the experience these players have acquired through years in the worlds most competitive league. IF landon had played for the ENTIRE 90 minutes, he MAY have come up with ONE goal just because of his tremendous speed. American players just don't have the environment and the opportunities that most countries in europe have. We need to fix this in order to be able to really compete with the likes of England, Spain, France, Italy, and Germany. And lets not forget the Brazils and Argentinas...

And while I agreed with your assessment of the team, lets just call it what it is. There is a lack of talent here as well, especially at the forward position. England outclassed the United States, and we were lucky to leave London haaving only lost 2-0.

False. Completely false. You cant say that Landon Donovan was no less yesterday when it was very very obvious that he's the best we have to offer. As for when was the last time he scored? That's our all time leading scorer you're talking about. And don't say that they all come from the penalty spot. So what? Goals are goals. I'd rather see Donovan out there than that sorry good for nothing Eddie Johnson. Josh Wolff? Get outttta here, we needed Landon yesterday.

Don't get me started on Landon Donovan. When was the last time he scored? I can't remember, but it's been a while. His service was missed, with the US playing mediocre free kicks and crosses. Other than that, he is no loss.
