Robin, even if Arsenal can defeat United twice in the last season, Arsenal still end up winning ZILCH.
If it gives u so much pleasure to beat us, then at least let me say we’re honoured.
I rather end up losing 2 battles and win the war eventually.
If winning the matches but winning no silverware makes u happy then pls be assured u have plenty of such seasons ahead.

To follow along with RMJ, it was also an exhibition, so it’s not like anything mattered much anyway.

You see this when top teams play because each side knows that one single mistake can cost them the entire match, so there is much more caution and deliberate buildup than anything fancy and exciting.

To KyleAusGooner … yeah I agree with you totally. A brawl like the one between Arses and Chelski would have been much more entertaining… worth every pound u paid.

To Pro-Arsenal …. yeah, only Arsenal play exciting football in the whole premiership eh? IFFFFF Arsenal was in the game? Ha ha, well you bet your Arses, they arent in the game coz they couldn’t win shit last season. And still u think they will make Chelsea and United “die…”?

I agree with LukeyGooner, Murinho must have been thanking the heavens that Malouda played well, because if Malouda just becomes another 13 million pounds wasted (added to the 30 on Sheva, and 21 on Wright-Phillips) he will be out of a job.

Arsenal heading south fast?! Methinks not, indeed I’d go as far as to say Chelsea are that team at the moment. Big name players have come on big money and not provided big performances – I’m thinking Ballack, Shevchenko, Wright-Phillips amongst others. Some of these players are approaching the wrong side of thirty and with Abramovich curbing the transfer fees I reckon a new team will start construction over the space of the next two years. At least Arsenal have that new team in place now with a few years experience and a solid rapport with eachother. We’ve all seen Wenger provide quality, championship winning teams with limited finances over the years – I await Mourinho’s attempt with sceptism. For all his claims of being ‘an English Champion’ and more audaciously a ‘special one’ he has spent hundreds of millions of pounds in doing so. Lets see, come six months, come twelve, come eighteen how much Arsenal have progressed and pulled themselves level, if not ahead of chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Eugene: It’s a good read though as Chelsea fans have pointed out, the line-up was partly due to the Chelsea squad being decimated with injuries.
