@Victor, i agree with u that United were like a one man team.

In that case United should start Ronaldo on Sunday, especially so after seeing starting line up at OT, it shows that AF feels that the meeting with the Blues is a priority.

I felt that both teams’ better players were on the bench, like Santi Cazorla for Villareal, Brown, Vidic and Ronaldo on the bench for MU.

I think they relied too much on Ronaldo last year to carry the offense. It’s almost like they didn’t really know what to do during the time he was out. When he came on, it was like someone flicked the switch and all of sudden, the offense started flowing again. They haven’t played well all year, then Ronaldo comes on the pitch and, suddenly, Man Utd. look dangerous again. It’s strange that a team with so many world class players can be so dependent on one person, but France was like that with Zidane.

But considering Fergie, played somewhat a half 2nd string side, i would say the prospect of them being out of the group stage is pretty slim, then again this is a home which SAF choose to test some players, rather then start with a winning game.

The most important thing i saw was Evans waiting to step into the shoes of Vidic this sunday.

Park also have another reason to be part of Fergie’s team, if not in the PL then it must be in Europe, with his performance he could also be a key to United winning the Holy Grail again.

I hate to say I agree with Pool Fan, but it’s true. We did well until he came on, but once he did the team seemed to light up a bit more. Attacking options were higher as well. Let’s hope he’s ready for the trip to the Bridge.
