Arsenal sealed a narrow victory over their fiercest league rivals, thanks to Anders Limpar’s first half goal, which was the difference between the two sides. Arsenal left-back Nigel Winterburn and United star Brian McClair had previous history of altercations.

The two were involved in an incident at Old Trafford and this time, 21 players on the pitch were involved in a brawl, which saw Arsenal dock two points, while United lost a point.
