According to reports in Spanish media outlet El Confidencial, Manchester United target and self confessed Liverpool fan Arda Turan is set to stay at La Liga winners Atletico Madrid for the coming 2014-15 season.

The report claims that the Red Devils are unwilling to meet the ‘unrelaistic’ €40m evaluation of the player by the Rojiblancos. Manager Diego Simeone considers the Turkish midfielder as one of his key players and is unwilling to part with his prized asset at any cost.

Earlier we had reported that United were looking to make a formal offer to Atletico for the player who played an integral role in the Los Colchoneros’ title winning season, breaking the duopoly of Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings.

The Old Trafford outfit were ready to pay €20m for Turan in an offer while could include Nani as a part of the deal. Moreover Atletico are also interested in out of favour United Javier Hernandez, which the Red Devils earlier though could use as a bait to land Turan at Manchester. Any such move at the present has cast away much like Tom Hanks’ reel life adventure in the South Pacific as a Fedex employee.
