The Belgian international broke into the United setup under David Moyes and impressed everyone.

The highly talented young midfielder demonstrated outstanding talent and maturity beyond his years, so much so that he was called up to Belgium’s 2014 World Cup squad.

Fast forward to the summer of 2015, Januzaj has been starved of game time last season and is now out of favour at his parent club.

It appears that the Belgian is keen on getting more first team minutes and Sunderland are waiting to take advantage.

Manchester United Transfer: Mutually beneficial

The Black cats are on the look out for an attacking midfielder and Januzaj fits the bill.

The 20 year old was limited to just seven appearances last season and van Gaal acknowledges the fact that he has to keep playing regularly in order to develop.

However, with the likes of Depay, Mata, Young, Valencia and soon Pedro in the side, United are well stocked in the attacking midfield positions.

Manchester United Transfer: Lifeline for Adnan

In such a scenario, it would be wise of Januzaj to consider a loan move. Loaning him to Sunderland would not only get him more first team action, but also in a league where he aims to keep playing in.

First team action in the Premier League is hard to come by for players his age and if Sunderland can provide that, Manchester United must look to bite their hands off.

The deal not only benefits the player, but also United, as a loan move can double his potential value (example? Hernandez is being courted at 12 million pounds this summer) even if they want to sell him next summer.
