Manchester United host Tottenham Hotspur tonight as the young guns get another chance to impress Sir Alex Ferguson. Harry Redknapp has already gotten his excuses in (after all, Tottenham have led in their last two games against United and lost both of them convincingly) by saying that the league is more important to them.
It should be quite the game – Carling Cup or not, Spurs and United both play good football and Spurs have, so far, failed to impress when paired up with one of the Big Three (United, Arsenal, Chelsea) – this is their chance to prove to themselves and their fans that they deserve to play at the top of the table.

Would reporters/commentators please stop refering to these players as ‘kids’ they are not. They are adults playing a game they have played since childhood with a wealth of experiance, anyway Spurs average age is not that bloody high. Arsernal kids/Man U kids………load of bollocks, if we beat them tonight we are beating Man Utd first team not there under bloody 16’s
