Manchester United have been linked with a move for Jose Mourinho since January.

The former Chelsea manager is out of a job and is eyeing his way back into management with the Old Trafford outfit.

Manchester United have been long-term admirers of the world-class Portuguese manager and wanted him to replace their club legend Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, a deal never quite materialised back then and the Old Trafford outfit are keen to make it happen now.

Recently, the Paris Saint-Germain manager Laurent Blanc was being linked with the Manchester United job but the French media has rubbished such claims and are reporting (via Sportwitness) now that Mourinho has already signed an ‘agreement in principle’ with Manchester United and is set to replace Louis Van Gaal in the summer.

Now, reports from English media are also backing up the claim that Mourinho will end up at Old Trafford at the end of this season. Furthermore, they have also added that Manchester United will offer Mourinho 60 million pounds for three years and will make him the highest paid manager in the history.

Manchester United have had a few disappointing seasons under Moyes and Van Gaal and now they are desperate to get back to the top of English football. And they believe that Mourinho is the right man to guide them back to their former glories.
