Louis Van Gaal asks striker Danny Welbeck to leave Manchester United

Share

Well, well, well! This is not exactly the kind of news Manchester United fans have been waiting for. Reports from English broadsheet Guardian claim that Louis Van Gaal has asked striker Danny Welbeck to leave the Red Devils. The recent developments come as a major surprise as Van Gaal’s 3-5-2 system would need at least four players in the squad.

Moreover, it was believed that the Englishman was ahead of Javier Hernandez in the pecking order. But it is believed that the move is designed to promote 18 year old teenager to the first team squad. Unitd fans would very well remember that Wilson scored a brace in United’s 3-1 win over Hull City at Old Trafford last season.

Hull City is believed to be Welbeck’s next destination but given that the 23 year old would cost £20m, Steve Bruce’s side might have have to opt out of the deal to bring the player at the KC Stadium.

So what do you think? Where will be Welbeck shipped out? Is this the right decision from Louis Van Gaal?

One Comment to Manchester United striker asked to leave club by Louis Van Gaal

  1. Manchester United are finished! They are on a downward spiral and it will be years before they can ever endure fighting for anything again. Their tranfers are diabolicle, to say the least. Ed Woodward is incompetent and why the club let him loose again in his miserable dealings for top players is truly beyond belief. They will spend naff all on top players, in fact, no top players want to sign for them because they know, as we all do, the clubs demise is certain, at least for another season. No Champions League for at least two to three seasons. Now they want rid of Danny Welbeck which i agree, but only if they can replace him. This is another season of misery for the club and i am sure there are going to be many more like this one.
