La Liga giants Barcelona are confident of luring Roma’s Miralem Pjanic, who is also a reported target of Manchester United.

The 24-year-old is a highly rated versatile midfielder, who has had a great season under his belt with the Gialorossi. Check this breath taking solo goal from Pjanic, which is undoubtedly one of the goals of the season.

Pjanic’s current deal at Stadio Olimpico expires in June 2015. Roma officials are certain about extending his contract, however reports in Italy suggest otherwise. The contract talks between the club and the player appears to have stalled at the moment. Pjanic has refused Roma’s renewal offers a few times now, so unless Roma sell him this summer they won’t see a single cent for his sale. They will try one last meeting with the player’s representative Michael Becker to agree to terms.

Manchester United were linked with a move for him in the January transfer window, but recently French newspaper L’Equipe reported PSG are also in the race to sign the Bosnian.

Pjanic, like many other young players, has indirectly send a come-and-get-me-plea suggesting “the (Barcelona) style of play would suit me very well” and Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo says Barcelona could exploit his contract situation and sign him up for €12m only.
