Manchester United and Chelsea target reveals his dream destination

Arsenal transfer news

Liverpool transfer newsManchester United and Chelsea have suffered a massive blow in signing Paulo Dybala after Palermo striker revealed that he has his heart set to join Barcelona.

The Argentine has been in fine form this season, which has seen him attract interest from top clubs across Europe. The Old Trafford club made an approach for him in the summer, but the Italian club’s president Maurizio Zamparini revealed that the player is worth over €40m.

“Dybala is worth over €40m [£31m] but I won’t sell him until June,” Zamparini said to Radio Due earlier in January.

“Many foreign clubs asked after him, including Manchester United. I told the English side that he is not for sale right now, but we can talk about it again in six months. In my view, he is the best striker in Europe at the moment.”

Dybala has been a transfer target for United, while their league rivals and the Capital One Cup winners have also maintained their interest in signing the talented striker. However, the 21-year-old claims he will to Barcelona, despite strong interest from the Premier League clubs.

“I would swim to Barcelona. It is only just across the Mediterranean after all,” Dybala told Argentine radio station Radio Belgrano.

With the player clearly expressing his desire to join the La Liga giants, it should be seen if there will be any chance for the Premier League clubs to lure him to make a switch to England.

Dybala’s contract with his current employers runs down in 2016 and he is expected to leave the Italian outfit later in the summer transfer window.
