Manchester United have not given up hope in the pursuit of Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio, with the Red Devils expected to pick up the chase this summer.

According to talkSport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), the 28-year-old remains at the top of David Moyes’ summer wish list, and United have already begun the process of bringing the midfielder to Old Trafford at the end of the season, with Ligue 1 side Monaco also said to be sniffing around.

The Italian hit the headlines this week after claiming that he had received phone calls relating to a move to the Premier League, with Liverpool and Arsenal also said to be tracking the player,

“Sometimes I have received phone calls from agents who told me of the interest of clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool,” he revealed (relayed by the Daily Express).

“But no one from these clubs, however, has never contacted directly us. And in case I would tell them to talk to Juve.”

Valued around the £25m mark, he would be quite a coup for United and Moyes, who is gearing up for a major summer reshuffle of his squad come the summer.

What do you think? Should Moyes continue after Marchisio? Let me know in the comments below…
