‘City Slicker’ appears to be yet another city fan deluded with the notion that ALL city fans actually live in Manchester, but with NO united fans living in Manchester

The pop of M/C is only around 440 000. The 2 M/C clubs attract between them 110 000. That all these fans live in M/C is clearly nonsense. For as many who actually live in M/C the same number, probably more, live in the rest of Greater Manchester; pop 2 500 000; which is the main reason why Stockport; pop 290 000; only has a fan base of around 5000

If OT is full of fans from Salford/Trafford, then Eastlands is full of fans from Stockport; although clearly again, neither is true

This “funny” article written by a rag is an excuse for having a pop at City by making a point about Thaksin Shinawatra. I suspect Graham Fisher knows as much about football as he claims TS does.

Any fool would know that United play in Trafford and draw any local support from the City of Salford. Although if you want to know where the bulk of their support comes from just watch the day trippers on the M6 returning to Wales, Devon, London and all points south.

Of course I agree with you, but I can’t help but think that in all of this people are forgetting that Eriksson is probably getting paid some ungodly sum of money. The kind of money that coaches usually only get when they produce top four finishes (Juande Ramos aside, he hasn’t had a full season yet).
