Raheem Sterling looks set to leave Anfield at the end of this season and Manchester City are thought to be leading the race for the England international.

The former QPR youth player has refused to sign a contract extension at Liverpool and will be looking to join a new club this summer. Raheem Sterling has been courted by the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal. The Liverpool winger has been in touch with Bayern Munich as well.

The Reds dismissed an inquiry from Manchester United earlier this week, but it is believed that Liverpool will accept an offer if it matches their valuation.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has apparently identified the Liverpool winger as an alternative to Frank Ribery, but Sterling is believed to be keen on staying in the Premier League.

Earlier this season, rumours suggested that Sterling wants to return to London and the rumours intensified after the England winger confirmed to the BBC that Arsenal links were ‘flattering’.

Although it is unlikely that Liverpool will sell to a Premier League rival, Manchester City’s supposed 45 million offer could turn heads at Anfield.

City are prepared to part with a lot of money to land the English winger and will offer him wages in the region of 1,20,000 pounds per week, which is almost four times of what he earns at Liverpool.

Earlier yesterday, manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed that Sterling will be forced to see out his remaining two years at Anfield, but recent comments from his agent regarding the club and former players seem to have burnt the bridges and both parties could look to end the saga if an acceptable offer comes in.
