Louis van Gaal says Manchester United are not yet finished in terms of their transfer business and will strengthen the squad in two more positions this summer.

The Red Devils have already signed Memphis Depay, the midfield duo of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger, along with defender Matteo Darmian. Despite that, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich has kept United fans more excited saying the club will further spend money in the transfer window.

“I hope so. No, we are not finished yet, I think.  It is what I have said already in many press conferences. We need a balance in the selection and I think we still need to improve at least two positions and we shall do that when it is possible,” Van Gaal told MUTV.

However, the Dutchman has also a condition that he will sign a player only if he believes he can adapt to his philosophy at Old Trafford.

“But we shall only buy when the player can give a contribution to our level. And, of course, that is in the eyes of our staff, but I have to have confidence that he can cope with the rhythm of the Premier League,” he added.

United have David De Gea and Victor Valdes as the two first choice keepers at the club. Both of them have one year left on their deals and the 24-year-old wants a summer exit, while the former Barcelona keeper is not included in Van Gaal’s plan for the next season.

De Gea is attracting strong interest from Real Madrid and from his sale and also Valdes’ potential exit, United could bring in a keeper in the transfer window. Departure of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao means the Red Devils need a striker.

They currently have the services of Wayne Rooney, youngster James Wilson and Javier Hernandez, whose future at the club remains uncertain.
