Luis Suarez comments on Real Madrid transfer rumour

Luis Suarez

Luis Suarez has enjoyed the best season in the Premier League since he joined Liverpool in the January transfer window of 2011.

Despite missing first five games due to suspension, the Uruguayan managed to score 31 goals in the league and has been rightly given the PFA player of the Year award. His outstanding performance has helped Liverpool finish second in the league and qualify for the Champions League as well.

Spanish giants Real Madrid are thought to be interested in him and according to El Confidencial, the Los Blancos are pondering to lodge 70m bid to lure the Uruguayan.

Suarez was in Spain for a promotional event, where he asked to comment on his future and Real Madrid transfer link. He said:

‘I have a contract with Liverpool, everything else is speculation. You know how the press is with their speculations. I know what I want and that’s all that matters.”

The Uruguayan further adds whenever he thinks about Real Madrid, he only has Cristiano Ronaldo on his mind. He joked:

“When I hear about Real Madrid, all I think is I hope Crisitano Ronaldo doesn’t score next weekend. He’s one of the best in the world and I never wish for a player not to play, but it’d be a shame if he scores since I’ll miss the chance to win the Golden Boot. But I won’t lose sleep over it.”
