RojoManchester United defender Marcos Rojo has a “minor problem” for Sunday’s clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Argentine international was subbed during the 20-times English champions’ 2-1 defeat against Arsenal in the FA Cup earlier this week. The versatile defender is doubtful for the fixture against the north London club this weekend, while striker Robin van Persie remains on the sidelines.

The Dutchman has missed United’s last few fixtures since their defeat to Swansea City in the league. With Michael Carrick back in action, Van Persie is the only causality and Rojo could be available for the selection if he passes late fitness test.

“More or less, only van Persie is injured. That is a good sign – when you have a defeat and all your players want to train and show the energy in the training session. That’s good to see,” Van Gaal to United’s official website.

“Rojo is a little bit injured. You have to take care of the health of the players. He has a minor problem. Maybe I’ll take him out of the game against Tottenham Hotspur, but I have to decide.”

Both United and Tottenham are in race for the top four finish. The last these two teams met at White Hart Lane, the clash ended in a 0-0 draw. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager believes Mauricio Pochettino’s side play “good football” and claims the clash will be difficult between two sides.

“They have a lot of talent because when you see the selection, you see a lot of youngsters playing and a lot of older players with experience who are not,” United manager said.

“That’s also nice to see, the process of another club. I have to say they are playing well and I hope we can beat them – it shall be very difficult again.”
