Liverpool welcome Stoke City at Anfield on Tuesday night looking to book their place in the Capital One Cup final.

Boasting a first-leg lead, Liverpool look to complete the job at Anfield as they aim to go one better than last year’s semi-final appearance.

Team News

Nathaniel Clyne suffered a knock in Saturday’s 5-4 win over Norwich City and the England defender is doubtful for this tie.

In case he fails to recover before the match, Klopp is likely to call upon right-back Jon Flanagan, who made his first appearance for Liverpool during Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Exeter City.

Dejan Lovren has returned to full training and he could partner Mamadou Sakho at the heart of defence, although Klopp may prefer Kolo Toure to continue.

Steven Caulker is cup-tied and is ineligible to feature. The Reds manager could start with the same XI that won against Norwich, but Adam Lallana and Joe Allen could be introduced for fresh legs in midfield.

Mark Hughes revealed in the press conference that Ryan Shawcross will miss out against Liverpool. Marc Wilson may replace him at the back.

Marko Arnautovic is likely to make the starting lineup after suffering from a tight hamstring, but Geoff Cameron is unavailable due to an ankle injury.

Possible Liverpool XI: Mignolet; Flanagan, Toure, Sakho, Moreno; Can, Henderson; Ibe, Lallana, Milner; Firmino.

Possible Stoke City XI: Butland; Johnson, Wollscheid, Wilson, Pieters;Afellay, Whelan; Shaqiri, Bojan, Arnautovic; Diouf.
