Liverpool host Tottenham at Anfield this weekend and Jurgen Klopp’s side could make a significant impact on the title race this season.

Spurs are trailing Leicester City by five points and with just seven matches remaining, another loss could be damaging for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The Londoners haven’t been particularly impressive at Anfield over the last few seasons and that needs to change if they want to lift the Premier League trophy come the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will be itching to bounce back after a humiliating defeat against Southampton last time out. They will be hoping to build on their great run against Spurs this weekend.

Despite the loss in their last game, Liverpool have been in superb form and will want to get closer to the top four places with a victory in front of the home fans.

Team News

There are no notable injuries for either side. Both teams will be able to play their full strength lineups.

Jan Vertonghen is back in training and could travel with the Tottenham squad to Anfield this weekend. The likes of Ben Davies and N’jie are fit and back in the side as well.

As for Liverpool, the only worry is Roberto Firmino. The Brazilian is back training and will be assessed closer to kick-off.

Jordan Henderson has recovered from his illness and will return to the first team. James Milner is also expected to play a part. Defender Dejan Lovren will be back in the side alongside Mamadou Sakho.

Alberto Moreno has also recovered from his hamstring problem and will be back here.
